Hello! The Texas Clay Festival has arrived, and I am not ready!
I had the best of intentions to participate, and I apologise that I just am not able to this year. When I said yes, it was because this festival is so special to me. You all have supported my work for over 15 years and I love communing with my potter family at the end of each October.
This has been a year! I just completed the last of three back-to-back public art projects: The Past and Future of Harlingen Texas, Sustenance, and The Riparian Edge, and I just did not want to admit how depleted my reserves were. I am making pottery in the studio again, but it is at a slower pace. I am loving it, and can't wait to share it with you...it will just take a few more weeks!
In the meantime, I don't feel too bad, as there is so much great work available this weekend from all the other potters at The Texas Clay Festival!
